John Barnum

John Timothy Barnum, 56, of Falcon Heights, died July 18.

          He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Margaret (Peggy); children, Anne, Marie, Melissa, Patrick and Anthony; granddaughter, Jada; parents, Jack and Shirley of Excelsior; and brother, Greg (Marcia) of Orono.

          John was a retired partner from McGladrey & Pullen, LLP, and a member of the American Institute of CPAs Accounting Standards Board. He graduated from St. Thomas, cum laude, and was an avid Minnesota Twins fan.

          Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 22 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Roseville, with interment at Roselawn Cemetery.

 

Mary Christianson

Mary F. Christianson, née: Haefliger, 94, of Como Park, died Aug. 3. She was preceded in death by husband, Albert; daughter, Mary Lou Pearson; and great-great-grand-daughter, Sarah. She is survived by daughters, Marlene Gormely (Jim) and Elaine Minewegen (Mark); 12 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

          Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Aug. 7 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church, Como Park, with interment at St. Mary's Cemetery in North St. Paul.

 

Allan Kraemer

Allan J. Kraemer, 80, of Falcon Heights died peacefully July 30 after a battle with cancer. Allan was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, a member of the 301st Air Refueling Squadron. He was a member of the Elevator Constructors Local 9 for more than 31 years.

          He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ma, and son, James. He is survived by children, Vicky (Ron) Childers, Sandra and Mark (Kathleen); daughter-in-law, Suzanne; three grandchildren; a brother, William (Lois), and sisters Ione (Eugene) Thompson and Arlene Evans.                   

          A memorial service was held Aug. 15 at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Roseville.

 

Ronald Luzinski

Ronald J. Luzinski, 74, died July 24 after a 24-year heroic battle with Hodgkins lymphoma and leukemia. Ron was a skilled carpenter at Ford Motor Company in St. Paul for 30 years and a member of UAW Local 879. He had a passion for fishing and loved to spend his time on the lake.

          He was preceded in death by his brother, David. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rita (née Maher); his three children, Craig (Cyndy), Mark (Deb) and Lisa (Chuck) Porter; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Karen (Lee) Anderson.

          Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 28 with entombment at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights.

 

Marrinette Madux

Marrinette (Englund) Madux, 84, of Falcon Heights, died July 23. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Scott Englund. She is survived by her sister, Ann Schlosshmacher; children, Tony (Carole), Terry (Shirley), Connie (Tom) Swanson, Gary (Mary Beth), Lynn (Roy) Bauer and Dan; special friend, Clayton Gage; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

          Her funeral was held July 30 at Victory Celebration Church in Roseville.

 

Helen K. Reis

Helen K. (Eichinger) Reis, 87, formerly of Como Park, died July 20. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew; infant daughter, Jeanne Jaqueline; and a brother and sister. She is survived by her son, Andrew (Vivian) and sisters Anne Keating and Elsa Mann. The family offers special thanks to Lyngblomsten for its good care and HealthEast Hospice program.

          A memorial service will be held at Eagle Crest Senior Living at a later date.

 

Major John Webster

Major John E. Webster, retired U.S. Army, 75, of Falcon Heights, died peacefully on July 27 surrounded by his family.

          John was a trailblazer in his church and community. John served his God, his country and his family with great dignity and integrity. 

          He was preceded in death by his son, John Edward Jr., and siblings, William, Frank, Charles and Edna. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Bea; children, Carla (Hayward) Norman, Tami (Carl) Greene and Jackson D. (Shea) Webster; nine grandchildren; siblings, Fred (Virginia), David (Maxcine) and Gloria; and sister-in-law, Helen Webster.

          Private family services were held, with interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

 

Edna Wold

Edna Vestra Wold died July 30 at the Lyngblomsten Care Center in Como Park. She was born March 2, 1913, in Crookston, Minn. She graduated from Moorhead State Teachers' College, after which she was an elementary teacher in northern Minnesota.

          She and husband, the Rev. Orville Wold, served churches in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Texas and Denmark.

          She is survived by her husband of 69 years; daughter, Mary (Dr. David) Bartsch; son, the Rev. David (Catherine); five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

          Her funeral service was held Aug. 4 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Como Park, with interment at First Lutheran Cemetery in Blooming Prairie, Minn.
