‘A Whale of a Tale’ Gala

The Friends of the Ramsey County Libraries’ theme for its fifth annual gala is “A Whale of a Tale,” a celebration of literary adventures on oceans, lakes, rivers and ponds. The public fundraiser will be held Saturday, Feb. 24, at Roseville Library, 2180 N. Hamline Ave.

The gala will run from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and will feature live music; a silent auction; a live auction; hors d’oeuvres, wine and craft beer; prizes; a costume contest; a photo booth; and more. All proceeds will benefit the seven branch locations of the Ramsey County Library.

Costumes or festive evening attire are encouraged but not required. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. Guests can make a real splash by dressing as their favorite characters from any fiction or nonfiction book set in, on or around water.

This event is open to the public and tickets may be purchased either online or by mail for $50 per person in advance or $60 at the door; $25 of each ticket is tax-deductible. To learn more, visit www.rclfriends.org/gala2018.
