A series of authors will visit Winding Trail Books, 2230 Carter Ave., over the next several weeks to discuss and sign copies of their books.
The schedule includes:
Oct. 24, 5:30-7 p.m.—Chuck Logan, Wendy Webb and Sarah Stonich. Logan is author of “Fallen Angel” and “Broker.” Webb is the author of “The End of Temperance Dare.” Stonich, is the author of “Vacationland.”
Nov. 2, 10-11 a.m.—Children’s author Karlyn Coleman, of Minneapolis, wrote “Where Are All the Minnesotans?”
Nov. 6, 5:30-7 p.m.—A. Joseph Everson is author of “The Vision of the Prophet Isaiah: Hope in a War-Weary World—A Commentary.” He has taught Hebrew and biblical studies for more than 40 years at Luther College, Decorah, Iowa; Saint John’s University in St. Joseph, Minn.; as a pastor in St. Paul from 1975-1990, and at California Lutheran University, Thousand Oaks, Calif.
Nov. 7, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. —Katherine Quie, who lives in St. Anthony Park, is the author of “Raising Will: Surviving the Brilliance and Blues of ADHD,’’ which chronicles the joys and challenges of raising her son William, who has ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). Nov. 9, 10:30 a.m.-noon.—Emilie Buchwald will read from her book “Buddy Unchained.” This book was a winner of the Henry Bergh Children’s Book Award and numerous other awards.
Nov. 12, 7-8:30 p.m.—William Kent Krueger, a St. Paul mystery writer, is the author of “This Tender Land.” Early signing for those unable to attend the discussion will be from 7-7:30 p.m. at Winding Trail Books. A discussion period will follow Krueger’s talk from 7:30-8:30 p.m. at Nico’s Taco Bar, 2260 Como Ave. Space is limited for the discussion, so please pre-register on Eventbrite.
Nov. 14, 5:30-7:30 p.m.—Steve McEllistrem and Rob Jung. McEllistrem is the author of “The Man who found his Moniker” and other novels. Jung is the author of “Cloud Warriors” and “‘The Reaper.”
Nov. 16, 10-11:30 a.m.—Stories and art for children ages 1 to 6 with Miss Jennie. Miss Jennie is owner of “Little Hears, Big Smarts,” an early-learning curriculum. Nov. 19, 6-8 p.m.—St. Paul native Gina Lamanna is the author of “Pretty Guilty Women.”
