Carol E. Isaacson, 84, formerly of Lauderdale, died Sept. 28.

A lover of the outdoors, she enjoyed many outdoor activities, including fishing and bird watching. For many years she worked for the City of Lauderdale as deputy clerk. She also volunteered as chief election judge for her precinct and was president of her local chapter of the Audubon Society. In retirement, she enjoyed spending summers at her lake home in Grantsburg, Wis., and winters in Sun City, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Arnold, Willis and Otis. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Mindy (Dave) Quade; son, Jeff Isaacson; sister Lois (Don) Shogren; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service was held Oct. 9 at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Roseville.
