Como author and illustrator Dalyce Elliott Young will play her violin and tell her Moonbeam Book award-winning story of “Ellie and the Golden Cricket,” Tuesday, June 7, at 10:30 a.m. at Merriam Park Library, 1831 Marshall Ave., St. Paul.
The book, published by Beaver’s Pond Press in 2015, tells the story of how a young girl learns the secret of playing the violin. Young is a classically trained violinist who played in the Minneapolis Youth Symphony.
