Como Community Council hosts food waste-prevention workshop

Learn how to prevent food waste While no one buys food with the intention of throwing it away, recent estimates show that the average household wastes nearly $100 in food every month.

Learning simple ways to shop smarter and store food better helps the environment and our budgets. Learn tips and tools to prevent food waste at a workshop, co- sponsored by the District 10 Como Community Council and Eureka Recycling, on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 3 p.m. at the Historic Streetcar Station, 1224 N.
