I applaud the monthly columns from Transition Town; they are strengthening the community and the environment simultaneously.
Last month’s article about clothing was excellent, but incomplete. One of Karen Lilley’s tips on responsible clothing consumerism missed a local opportunity: To shop for used clothing locally, try Flying Pig Thrift on for size! This nonprofit thrift store, located at Snelling and Minnehaha avenues offers good used clothing at thrift store prices, and we accept donations too.
We are glad to participate in the effort to recycle clothing and other durable goods while reducing what we toss into landfills. We are proud of our nonprofit, and proud to be a thrift store with purpose.
