Dr. George E. Hansler, 93, of Tampa, Fla., died April 26 in St. Paul.
George lived most of his adult life in the Chelsea area of New York City, taught music and conducted various acclaimed musical groups for more than 40 years at New Jersey City University, Jersey City, N.J.
He was preceded in death by his partner of 65 years, Gregory Martinez. He is survived by a sister, Elsie Trapp, and a brother, Dr. Richard (Wanda) Hansler.
His funeral service was held May 5 at Como Park Lutheran Church, with interment at Centro Español Memorial Park Tampa, Fla.
