Celebrate Spring and celebrate the planet at the Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 21, 2018, 10am – 2pm at the Harriet Alexander Nature Center (HANC) in Roseville. We’ll also be marking HANC\’s 287th birthday. You can check out the exhibits and activities inside the building, visit the Eureka’s recycling truck in the parking lot, or take a guided tour of the marsh on the boardwalk. The event is sponsored by the B Dale Club, with additional support from Half Price Books and Kinderberry Hill.
In honor of Arbor Day, April 27, we’ll give away white pine tree seedlings to the first 100 families; there will be free seed packets, courtesy North Heights Hardware Hank (while supplies last); and free 2018 Chinook Books (coupons for local businesses) to the first 100 families, courtesy of Roseville’s Music Go-Round. And everyone can enter a free drawing for a rain barrel, compost bin, or other great prizes.
Boardwalk tours, activities, crafts and planting for butterflies run from 10am-1pm, including interactive performances by Will Hale and the Tadpole Parade. The event concludes with the popular Walking Parade and birthday cake for all.
