Grocery bags, retail bags (without strings), trash bags, newspaper bags, dry-cleaning bags, bread bags, stretch wrap (not shrink wrap) and frozen food bags can now be recycled in Falcon Heights.
The city’s recycling company, Tennis Sanitation, has a partnership with Rational Energies, a company that takes recycled film plastics and converts it to crude oil. About 10 pounds of densified plastic make 1 gallon of clean crude oil. For more information on this process go to rationalenergies.com.
