Twin Cities German Immersion School, 1031 Como Ave., will celebrate its 10-year anniversary and host and open house at its new building on Saturday, May 16, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The event will include fun activities, and food and refreshments will be available for purchase. This is free event is open to the community.
Twin Cities German Immersion School (TCGIS), authorized by the Germanic American Institute (GAI), is a tuition-free public K-8 charter school in the Como Park neighborhood. According to representatives of the German government responsible for interacting with German language schools worldwide, TCGIS is the fastest growing German immersion primary school outside of Germany. In the 2014-15 school-year, TCGIS enrolled 440 students in grades K-8.
