Are you paying attention to the new street lighting on Como and Raymond avenues in St. Anthony Park? Do you like it? Do you notice a difference between the new and existing lighting? Can you imagine all the neighborhood streets lined with that bright harsh lighting in place of our current soft lights?
I support energy conservation and the advances made in lighting, but I truly don’t think that manufacturers have given good thought to the visual impact of the new lighting and its consequences. Once here, we will have to live with the changes. I believe there are other options that can be pushed for, but it won’t happen unless we do.
