Mary Ann Jens, 74, died Sept, 25, 2022, after a long battle with multiple medical problems.
Mary Ann was born July 12, 1948, to Martin and Amelia Chamberlain in Taconite. She graduated from Greenway High School in Coleraine and received her R.N. in nursing from St. Catherine University in St. Paul, specializing is psychiatric nursing.
Mary Ann married Robert Jens on July 1, 1972, and together they raised two sons, Robert Dennis and Patrick Martin.
She was active at St. Cecelia Catholic Church, where she was a pastoral associate and participated in premarriage counseling and the BeFriender Ministry. She was beloved by many in the community.
Mary Ann was a passionate lover of music. She played acoustic guitar and sang for friends and at church and participated in the choir. She was very family oriented, loved her dogs and loved to spend time at their cabin and to travel in their RV.
She was preceded in death by her son Robert, her sister Jean Jennings (Dennis) and her parents Martin and Amelia. Mary Ann is survived by her husband Bob; son Patrick; and brothers Dennis, Paul (Rita), Jerome (Pam) and Mark (Jane). Her funeral service was held Oct. 6 at the Church of St. Cecilia, with interment at Sunset Cemetery.
