The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Minnesota will hold a free, six-session course designed to empower young people to take charge of their lives and deal with the issues they are facing in a healthy and effective way. The course helps teens understand how to maintain good mental health; how to recognize signs of stress, anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder; how to help friends, siblings and parents understand what they are going through and different types of treatment options.
It will be held on Tuesdays, April 7- May 12, 7-9 p.m., at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 700 S. Snelling Ave. Registration is required.
