St. Anthony Park fourth- and fifth-graders spent the month of May with artists from In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre. The fourth graders created puppets and masks for a May 29 in-school performance. The fourth-graders will perform “The Pageant of the Birds,” based on six poems by Mary Oliver. The pageant will feature goldfinches, hawks, hummingbirds, swans, geese and blackbirds. The fifth-graders made puppets and giant masks for their performance based on the Dr. Seuss book Oh, the Places You’ll Go. Here, artist Seth Eberle works with three fourth-grade students.
