A celebration of life for Rosanne Gregoire will be held from 4 to 10 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 8, at the Wabun Picnic Area, Shelter C, in Minnehaha Regional Park., 4655 46th Ave. S., Minneapolis. Family and friends plan to display pictures, sing songs and share memories of Rose.
All who knew Rose are welcome.
Please bring a picnic meal or coordinate with others to share food.
Rosanne was a well-known St. Anthony Park civic activist who died on Jan. 13 this year after battling a second round of ovarian cancer.
Rose, who was 68, was involved in many community organizations during the 28 years she lived in this neighborhood. She served on the board of the Library Association, the SAP Community Council and as treasurer of the SAP Garden Club.
Rose also helped start and coordinate the monthly SAP Community Sing and assisted the preschool program at St. Anthony Park United Church of Christ. Another one of her interests was reading; and she participated in a neighborhood book club for many years.
