
St. Anthony Park Elementary School science teacher Jim Schrankler has been named a Minnesota finalist for the National Science Foundation’s 2016 Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. Schrankler will be recognized at the NSTA Conference on Science Education in October in Minneapolis. Schrankler has been teaching at St. Anthony Park since 2003 and has been with the St. Paul school district for 26 years. Lisa Houdek, a science teacher at St. Paul Central High School, was the Minnesota secondary school recipient of the 2015 Presidential Award.
