In an effort to involve more St. Anthony Park residents in the St. Anthony Park Community Council elections, the council’s board of directors is moving its annual elections from April to November.
The council is also planning to host a town-hall forum for elected officials and district council candidates along with a community expo before the election. The dates for the election and forum will be announced later this summer.
Residents or businesspeople interested in serving on the St. Anthony Park Community Council can nominate themselves at the fall town-hall meeting. Other changes to the council election include plans to expand voting options to residents through online ballots or via mail, as well as at polling places.
The St. Anthony Park District Council holds annual elections to choose its 21 board members, seven from north St Anthony, seven from south St. Anthony, and seven business members. Elections traditionally have been held in April.
