Hamline University’s Department of Theatre and Dance will open its 87th season with “Sweet Charity,” directed by Natalie Novacek. Inspired by Federico Fellini’s Nights of Cabiria, “Sweet Charity” explores the turbulent love life of Charity Hope Valentine, a hopelessly romantic but comically unfortunate dance-hall hostess in New York City.
“Sweet Charity” opens Friday, Nov. 10, at 7:30 p.m. and will run Nov. 11, 16, 17 and 18 at 7:30 p.m. at Hamline University’s Anne Simley Theatre. Advance reservations are recommended and can be made through the Hamline University Theatre Box Office at 651-523-2905 or via e-mail at tickets@hamline.edu.
