Terry W. Boehlke, 75, died at his home in Falcon Heights on Feb. 1, 2022. He was born in Eau Claire, Wis., to Walt and Betty (Champion) Boehlke on July 11, 1946.

He excelled in school and graduated as valedictorian of his Eau Claire North High class of 1964. He went on to graduate magna cum laude from Yale University in 1968.

After marrying his high school sweetheart, Eunice Thompson, in August 1968, he continued his studies at Duke Divinity School and Luther Seminary in St. Paul. His love of books drew him to his career as assistant manager, then manager of Luther Seminary bookstore, where he mentored students as well as staff.

He was an active member at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Roseville for 50 years. After retirement, he spent many enjoyable hours volunteering at the Roseville branch of Ramsey County Library and in the archives at Luther Seminary.

Terry’s true vocation was husband, father and grandfather. He spent endless hours engrossed in the imaginary worlds he created for his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Eunice, daughters Krista Klindworth (Joe Berry) and Gretchen (Keith) Hermanson, four grandchildren and brother Kim (Rose Marie) Boehlke.

Private interment at Roselawn Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church.

Memorials preferred to World Hunger, through St. Michael’s Lutheran Church; Doctors Without Borders; or World Food Programme.
