U’s student organic farm to host open house Sept. 20

The University of Minnesota Organic Program will host an open  house on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Cornercopia Organic Farm on the U’s St. Paul Campus at the intersection of Lindig Street and Dudley Avenue.
Attendees can learn what organic research is happening on campus, as well as how the student organic farm, Cornercopia, is helping to educate the next generation of organic farmers. The event is free and open to the public, and will include tours, fun family-friendly activities, and tastings of some of the produce grown by students and researchers working in organic agriculture at the U.
Attendees can  learn about the organic growing practices students at the U of M are involved with and talk with researchers about their work in organic and sustainable agriculture.

Parking will be available in the Gortner Avenue ramp, 1395 Gortner Ave.
