Transitions is a free workshop offered by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Minnesota to help parents assist young adult children living with a mental illness. The workshop aims to help parents gain tools to prepare their teen or young adult for independence, learn about special education, employment, college, transportation, life skills and housing. It includes tips for living with young adults who aren’t ready to leave the nest. A Transitions workshop will be held in St. Paul 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, at Macalester Plymouth United Church, 1658 Lincoln Ave. Registration is requested.
